Higham Lane School is delighted to announce that students have performed exceptionally well in the 2023 GCSE qualifications.

Our very first Head of Sixth Form - we thank him very much and wish him a well done for making Higham Lane Sixth Form so successful - Achieve! Believe! Succeed! Mr Ladha, you are a man of high standards and of excellence, of deep human empathy, and it has been an absolutely genuine privilege to work alongside you. You truly are one of life's greatest, your level of service to the greater good of Higham Lane School and Sixth Form – you are the epitome of 'ask not what your school can do for you, but what can you do for the school', and therefore to the young people and their families has truly been outstanding. Our lives are all the richer for having had you in them. We thank you sincerely, and we are all going to miss you very, very much, and we all wish you the very best that life can bring. Team Drama has had a fantastic day at @curve_leicester ! They took part in a drama workshop with Curve specialists, creating snapshots and split stages surrounding themes of growing up and fitting in, then watched a production of 'Everyone's Talking About Jamie'!
Mr Froggett and Miss Charles were the judges for the best salade niçoise. This afternoon the Year 7 played pétanque in the sunshine M. Froggett et Mademoiselle Charles ont été les juges des salades niçoises. Cet après-midi les élèves de sixième ont joué à la pétanque au soleil
Team MFL in school are also having a wonderful time. The students ordered their French breakfast, wrote poetry in French and are now making salade niçoise for lunch. A l'école on s'amuse aussi. Les élèves ont commandé leur petit déjeuner en français, puis ils ont écrit des poèmes en français et maintenant ils vont faire une salade niçoise pour le déjeuner
