HLS Remembers Our Fallen Heroes

As a result of an Inset Day falling on November 11th, Higham Lane School this year paid its respects to the fallen a day early.

At the 11th hour, of the 10th day, of the 11th month, the School fell into a hush as students and staff respected two minutes' silence.

For the first time, the School added to its usual Remembrance arrangements by involving student musicians.

Drummers, Morgan and Euan, `beat the warning' on the playground prior to the two minutes' silence, while `The Last Post', played on the trumpet by Fay, signalled the end of the commemorations.
